Guardian by Seeing Machines Startup Procedure – Reminder

Guardian by Seeing Machines cameras is part of your vehicle startup procedures.

We would like to remind drivers that Guardian by Seeing Machines should form part of your vehicle startup procedures. The system does require time to boot up once the ignition has been turned on, to ensure that all components are communicating with the processor unit including the driver facing camera.

Typically the Gen 2 requires approximately two and a half minutes for this procedure to come into play. Drivers should watch for the orange light to appear, once this goes out the Guardian system is good to go. Should the orange light not appear, or stays on continuously the unit does have an issue, and a call to our support team should be made, so we can organise a technician to come on site to rectify the issue. The Gen 1 does take longer than the Gen 2 to boot up, whereby drivers will hear an audio alarm advising them the Guardian unit is good to go.
